Please note that in person sessions are not recommended for those who are allergic to dogs. We have a "pet therapy" dog, Bean, that is present during sessions. If you have a phobia or fear of dogs, online sessions will be a better fit for you.
For new clients, we request a credit card be kept securely on file. We ask that payment is to be sent via Interac e-transfer to charles@innerpeacecounselling.ca, or any of our other payment options, any time prior to the commencement of the therapy sessions. In person session can be paid in exact cash with receipt provided.
Services will be discontinued if payment is not received. Before discontinuing services for non-payment, your psychotherapist can help advise you of alternative services/service providers that are accessible.

This year Bill C-59 received royal assent, as such services rendered by Registered Psychotherapists (RP) are exempt from taxes. This milestone recognizes the vital services provided by RPs and helps to alleviate financial burdens for both practitioners and clients.
Please ensure with your insurance company that you are covered for therapy rendered by Registered Psychotherapists. Some insurance companies only cover Psychologists and/or Social Workers. It is also recommended that you inquire about your yearly coverage amount and/or how many sessions are covered. An invoice will be provided to you to submit to your insurance company. Unfortunately at this time we do not do direct billing. It is the client's responsibility to make sure that they are covered.
Create Your Client Profile in JANE
Client files are password protected and secure through Jane App. Jane will notify you when an appointment is scheduled or cancelled. It will also send you an email reminder 2 days before your session and a text message 2 hours before your session to help remind you. Invoices will be sent directly to your email through Jane. Receipts will be issued for insurance purposes at your request. You can pay using Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Debit Mastercard, American Express through your JANE invoice or client profile.
Please note, if for some reason reminders are not sent it is the client's responsibility to remember their appointment date and time to avoid any cancellation/ missed appointment fees. These reminders are meant to help the client, but try not to be dependent on them. Appointment cards are available for in session visits, just ask.
Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment I please ask that you give me 48 hours notice by text, phone (905-536-9195), or email (charles@innerpeacecounselling.ca). Appointments cancelled or rescheduled in less than 48 hours are subject to a fee of 50% of your session rate*.
*With exception at therapist's discretion. We kindly ask that you pay your rebooking fee or missed appointment fee prior to your next session.
Please note that regular missed or cancelled appointments (3 or more) can lead to discontinuing service at therapists discretion.
